It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website and to an Academy where we live our Mission Statement:

Christ is the centre of our lives,

Our learning and friendships.

In a safe, happy and caring community

Where all are welcome.

On This School Your Blessing Lord
  • Almighty and merciful Father,

bestow your grace upon the Diocese of Brentwood

as we celebrate our Centenary Year.

We give thanks for the witness of past generations

and pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit

that we may be ever more faithful to

    proclaiming the Gospel of Christ.

Bless Alan our Bishop, the Clergy, Religious

    and Faithful of our Diocese,

and graciously grant plentiful vocations to the Priesthood,

the Consecrated Life and the Sacrament of Marriage.

Strengthen us in the communion of faith, hope and charity,

united in prayer with our Holy Father the Pope

    and the Universal Church.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.

Saints Erconwald, Cedd and Edmund of Canterbury, pray for us.

  • The recent Ofsted inspection of Holy Cross Catholic Primary Academy has confirmed that it remains a good school with many exemplary features. The report continues to demonstrate the extremely high achievement at Holy Cross of which the whole school and parish community are justifiably proud. The report highlights:

    * That the curriculum is impressively enriched

    * There is a culture and ethos that focuses relentlessly on teaching and learning, leaders of foundation subjects have strong subject knowledge and lead their subjects effectively with passion.

    * Pupils make excellent progress in their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development

    * The school promotes pupils’ understanding of diversity particularly well through the curriculum

    * Pupils are polite, thoughtful and, as one parent commented, ‘taught to be kind, caring and considerate'

    * Safeguarding is effective

    * Leaders and governors are effective

"And so, Lord, where do I put my hope?
