Spring 2025
Art
Year 6 have been showing their creative side this term. For Victorian Day they painted images in the style of William Morris. For Judaism Day they created art work of a cherry tree through the seasons to link into the Jewish Festival of Trees.
Maths
In our maths learning this term, Eagles and Owls have been learning all about Volume. We used cubes to create different models to represent different volumes. We then applied this learning to the formula, length x width x height.
We enjoyed finding out about this mathematical concept.
DT
In DT we have been designing and building our own playgrounds. We took our inspiration from the playgrounds we have been to and thought about how these could be improved upon.
History
In our History lessons, we have been learning about how different Victorian classrooms were in comparison to our lovely classrooms of today. We used drama, in small groups, to illustrate those differences.
Can you believe that children who were left-handed were made to write with their right hand whilst the left hand was tied behind their back!
