During Science week we welcomed our parents in our classroom. We all took part in Science experiments linked to our Space and Forces topics. We investigated the effects of the force of Gravity on objects of different weights. We also tested air resistance, as well as water resistance by using probes that ‘landed’ on different planets.
RE and Drama
This term all the children in Robins took part in the ‘Stations of the Cross’ service. The children retold part of Jesus’ Passion (his suffering and death) through drama and songs. The parents were also invited to this prayerful participation in the event that lies at the heart of Christianity – Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection.
Our PSHE this term was ‘Healthy Me’. The children have been learning about the harmful effects of tobacco and alcohol and consider why people use these. They have also been exploring the knowledge and ideas they have through engaging activities and safe, respectful discussions. Children used different media to create posters and offer guidance on ‘How to Stay in Good Health.’
