In maths this half term, children have been exploring the mass and weight of different objects. We used measuring scales to work out the mass from a selection of objects. Children had lots of fun identifying which mass was heavier and were using key vocabulary such as greater than and less than. This further helped the children when they moved onto looking at the volume and capacity of objects.
In literacy this half term, children have continued to add lots of new vocabulary to their writing. Children have been creating their own mind maps and would write down as many new words that they could think of, for example, verbs. Children then shared their wonderful mind maps to the rest of the class and even showed how they used their new vocabulary in sentences!
In art this half term, children have been creating their own sculptures. We had lots of fun designing and creating our paper tubes, and 3D drawings.
In RE this half term we have been looking at the topic meals, children have looked at the last supper and now understand how the blood and body of Jesus are symbolised in mass.
