Regina Coeli South Africa
Our parish and school have developed very strong links with our twin parish of Regina Coeli in South Africa. Regina Coeli serves the town of Madedini which is a Township in the State of Kwazulu Natal. Our twinning involves active fundraising, correspondence, visits and of course regular prayer. It is a mutually beneficial partnership which enables us to support parish programmes such as a centre for HIV. support and setting up a bead jewellery business which supports child led families. We gain so much from our partnership with their regular prayers and correspondence and the wonderful example of community and Christian family which is an inspiration to us all.
We have posted photographs and videos following a recent visit which will be regularly updated particularly with our newlyformed partnership with Sipheni Primary School.
We have also included a link to Fr Gerald Gostling and his work with M-CARE. Fr Gerald is a priest from the Brentwood Diocese who is working currently in Newcastle S Africa on a number of community related projects and we have visited him on several occasions. We have also known him for many years and feel so proud of all that he has and continues to achieve.
